Bouquet of Barbed Wire: Peter continues his affair with Sarah whilst resenting Gavin,whom he knows to have hit Prue and who he believed followed her from one school to another. He has him checked out by a private eye who stabs him and puts him in hospital, where he is visited by Cassie,who ends up kissing him. Prue is intrigued by her husband's tattoo of 'Paula',the same name Peter calls in his sleep. She learns that Paula died in Yorkshire,Gavin's native area and where he has a new job waiting.She visits Peter's mother Nellie in Yorkshire - she knew Gavin and speaks well of him.Meanwhile Peter's firm is in financial straits and Sarah feels they should break up their affair.
